OUR STORY...

For a long time, I had what most people would call a successful career. Global. Fast-moving. The kind that takes you to different cities, different countries, different boardrooms. And for a long time, I was good at it.

My name is Kirrilly and somewhere in the noise of corporate politics, city rush and relentless motion, I felt lost. Not failed — lost. There's a difference. So I did something people don't always expect: I walked away.

But this wasn't just my decision to make — and I didn't make it alone. Nathan chose to back this dream completely, to swap the familiar for the unknown and build something new alongside me.

Together, we retired from the life we knew and came home to the land. To something we'd both quietly wanted for a long time.

It runs in the family.

My father's family grew up in Narooma, right here on the South Coast. My Grandpa owned a local bakery — fresh bread, every day, serving the community he called home. I never got to meet him, but his story was always part of ours.

Growing up, my Dad was the veggie grower and I was just the occasional helper and full-time taste tester. Fresh food wasn't a lifestyle trend — it was just Tuesday. Seasonal produce from the garden, food you could trace back to the hands that grew it - a connection to where things came from that felt completely normal.

I didn't realise how rare that was until I spent years without it.

Coming back to something real.

Starting Nearly Far isn't reinvention for the sake of a story. It's reconnection. To the values I grew up with, to the rhythm of seasons and soil, to the kind of work that leaves you tired in a way that feels honest.

There's a peace here that no corner office ever gave me. A quiet that isn't empty — it's full of things that matter. The cattle in the paddock. The veggies coming up. The family around us. The south coast life.

We feel like we were always supposed to be here. Home. We just took a few detours along the way.

What we're building together.

Nearly Far is a family operation with a simple ambition — raise happy, well-cared-for livestock, grow quality fruit, vegetables and herbs, and sell to the community around us.

No shortcuts and no compromises on the things we believe in.

We're not a big operation. We're not trying to be. We're trying to do a small thing really, really well — and sell it to people who care as much as we do.

This isn't a lifestyle project. It's a livelihood. And we treat it that way every single day.
